Meet Julie Dulyea
I’m Julie Dulyea, the designer and founder of Lemon Drop Interior Design. For me, design has never been about a coat of paint and furniture placed where it fits. It’s about seeing everything a room can become, then bringing it there one considered decision at a time.
I love a room that almost reaches out and gives you a hug when you walk in: a kitchen made for homemade dinners, a quiet corner for a good book, a place to gather with family and friends. A house becomes a haven when it reflects the people who live in it, and that is what I design for.
Rooted in Georgetown
My family and I have moved several times, within Georgetown and to a few other cities, and each move taught us the same thing: Georgetown is home. It has the small-town feeling of a community that genuinely cares for one another, and it is where Lemon Drop is based today.
Every home we have lived in became a fresh canvas for me, and that same love and attention now goes into each client’s home.

We’ll sit down in your home and talk through your ideas for the rooms you want to redesign: colours, textures, furniture, lighting, and the overall feeling you want. Together we’ll find the inspiration, our jumping-off point.
Inspiration Meets Real Life
Then it’s your turn to sit back. I’ll present my recommendations, you’ll tell me which options you love, and we’ll turn that inspiration into a design made uniquely for you.

I unveil your finished room. You take a deep breath, exhale and say, “It feels good to be home.” I promise.
